Some documents people search for are not here, because SimpleERP does not make them and we only publish formats we can show working in the product.
- Delivery challan: SimpleERP does not issue one yet. Goods move on the invoice; read what a delivery challan must carry.
- Proforma invoice: not a separate document in SimpleERP. A quotation with GST shown does the same job for most buyers.
- Bill of supply: for composition or exempt sellers, which SimpleERP does not cover. See bill of supply.
- Export invoice: SimpleERP bills in rupees only, with no letter of undertaking flow. See export invoice.

Questions, answered
Are these templates free?
Yes. Every format downloads as Excel, Word and PDF with no sign-up. The Excel files have formulas for tax and totals.
Are these formats valid under GST?
GST law lists what a document must carry rather than a fixed layout. Each invoice and note format has a place for every field in the rule, and each page shows that table with its source and the date we last checked it.
Why are the samples from the same business?
Most samples come from Lakshmi Steel Furnitures, a fictional business in Coimbatore that every SimpleERP example uses, so the figures on the page, in the files and in the product screenshots agree. The freelancer and IT company invoices come from two fictional service firms, so those samples read like your own bills.
When should I stop using a template?
When you raise documents daily. Numbering, tax splits and stock start to drift in spreadsheets; SimpleERP fills the same fields from your customers and products and posts each document to the books.
