CRM
CRM for small businesses
Capture every enquiry, follow up on time and turn won deals into quotations, all on the same customer list your invoices use.
In short
SimpleERP includes a simple CRM for small businesses in India: leads, a deal pipeline, a follow-up inbox and one-tap conversion of a lead into a customer and a quotation, sharing the customer list with sales and billing.

The daily job: follow up before the customer forgets you
Most small businesses lose deals in WhatsApp threads and notebooks. SimpleERP gives every enquiry an owner, a next step and a date, and keeps it next to the customer's invoices.
- Capture a lead in under 20 seconds: a name is enough, a phone is better
- Clear today's follow-ups from one inbox on your phone
- Turn a won deal into a quotation without retyping the customer
Leads
A lead takes a name, and twenty seconds
Type the contact name, add a phone or company if you have them, and save. The form is built for a phone held in one hand, with the most used fields at the top. If the phone number matches another open lead, SimpleERP warns you instead of creating a silent duplicate.
- Status: new, contacted, qualified or unqualified
- Source suggestions such as referral, walk-in, phone or marketplace
- Call and WhatsApp buttons straight from the list, with the number in the right format
- Save and add a follow-up in the same step
- Filter by status, owner, source or date, and search by name, company or phone
Pipeline
Deals move through stages you can see and change
The pipeline is a board on a laptop and a grouped list on a phone. Each column shows its count and value. Drag a deal to the next stage, or tap Move on a phone. Marking a deal lost asks for a reason, so you learn why. Marking it won needs a customer on the deal, because the next step is a quotation, and a won or lost deal can always be reopened.
| Stage (as seeded) | Probability | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Qualification | 10% | A real need, not yet priced |
| Proposal | 40% | A quotation is with the customer |
| Negotiation | 70% | Price and terms under discussion |
| Won | 100% | Customer confirmed; quote or invoice next |
| Lost | 0% | Closed with a reason: price, timing, competitor |
Follow-ups
One inbox holds every follow-up due today
Calls, meetings, emails, WhatsApp messages and tasks with a due time land in an inbox split into overdue, today and the next seven days. Tick done, or snooze to later today, tomorrow morning or next Monday.
- Overdue and today's count shows on the dashboard
- Snooze for an hour, to tomorrow 9:00 or to next Monday
- After a call from the app, one tap logs it
- Open follow-ups on a lost deal are closed for you
Convert
A won deal becomes a customer and a quotation
Convert a lead and SimpleERP creates the customer, an opportunity and carries its activities across in one step. When the deal is won, Create quotation opens the sales editor with the customer filled in. The quotation then converts to an order or invoice like any other.
- Duplicate check against existing customers by phone or email: link the existing customer instead
- Quotations stay linked to the deal
- The customer page shows deals, activities and invoices together

Reports
Know what is likely to close this month
CRM reports show how the pipeline stands and how the team is doing, for any period you pick.
- Pipeline by stage: count, value and weighted value, which is value times the stage's probability
- Win rate: won deals over won plus lost
- Lead sources: leads per source and how many converted
- Activities per owner: calls, meetings and follow-ups by person
Customer view
Every customer's story on one page
The customer page keeps invoices, credit notes, payments and quotations in one dated list with a running balance. CRM adds two tabs beside them: the activity timeline with buttons to log a call, note or task, and the customer's open, won and lost deals with their totals. Anyone answering the phone sees the whole relationship.

FAQ
Questions, answered
Is the CRM a separate product?
No. It is part of SimpleERP, included in every plan, and leads convert into the same customers your GST invoices and statements use.
Can my sales team use it on their phones?
Yes. Every CRM screen works on a 360 px phone. The pipeline becomes a grouped list with a Move button, and calling or messaging a lead is one tap.
Can I change the pipeline stages?
Yes. Rename, reorder and add stages and set each stage's probability in settings. SimpleERP refuses to delete a stage that still holds deals until you move them.
Does each salesperson see only their own leads?
Every lead and deal has an owner and the inbox shows your own follow-ups by default. Access is set by role: the Sales role covers CRM, customers, quotations and invoices. See team and roles.
Does it send WhatsApp messages for me?
It opens WhatsApp with the lead's number so you send from your own phone. Sending through a WhatsApp integration is not available yet.
