Industries
Which industries fit SimpleERP?
Traders, distributors, small manufacturers, shops and service firms with 5 to 50 people. Same system, set up around the work your business does every day.
In short
SimpleERP is ERP software by industry for Indian small businesses: manufacturing, wholesale distribution, retail, textiles and garments, and professional services. Each runs on one ledger with GST billing, stock, purchases, payroll and your team.
Industries
Manufacturing
A small workshop runs on three questions: what do we need to make, do we have the material, and what did it cost.
- BOMs with scrap and cost roll-up
- Work orders that consume and produce stock
- Payroll for shop-floor staff
Wholesale & distribution
Distribution is volume on thin margins: many invoices, many parties, and money that sits with customers.
- Keyboard-first GST billing
- Stock across warehouses at average cost
- Party ledgers and receivables ageing
Retail
A shop is judged at the counter, but it is run from the back office: stock, cash and people.
- Counter invoices with a UPI QR
- Stock by store with a low-stock list
- Branches, daily cash and staff attendance
Textiles & garments
Textile work is measured in metres going in and pieces coming out, with seasons that decide everything.
- Fabric to garment bills of materials
- HSN codes and GST on every line
- Salary components for your workforce
Professional services
In a service firm the product is people's time, so the work is winning clients, billing them right and keeping the team paid.
- SAC-coded invoices with place of supply
- Quotations, pipeline and follow-ups
- Expense claims, attendance and leave

How to choose
If you buy, sell, stock or pay people, it probably fits
Pick the page closest to how you work. The product is the same; the pages show which parts you will use most.
- You make what you sell, even partly: start with manufacturing. Bills of materials and work orders sit on top of stock and purchase.
- You buy in bulk and sell on credit: start with wholesale and distribution. Fast billing, warehouses and party ledgers matter most.
- You sell over a counter, from one shop or several: start with retail.
- You sell fabric, garments or made-ups: start with textiles and garments.
- You sell time and expertise, with no stock: start with professional services. Stock screens stay out of the way.
- You need batch or expiry tracking, POS hardware or e-way bills generated by the software: SimpleERP does not do these yet. Talk to us before you start.
FAQ
Questions, answered
Is SimpleERP only for these five industries?
No. These are the five kinds of business it was designed around, but any Indian small business that bills customers, buys from suppliers, holds stock or pays staff can use it. Every business gets all thirteen modules.
Do I need a different version for my industry?
No. There is one product. A service firm simply never opens the stock screens, and a one-location shop never sees branches or warehouses unless it adds them.
What size of business is SimpleERP built for?
Businesses with roughly 5 to 50 people. Team members are unlimited, so a growing business does not pay more for adding staff to the system.
Which industries is SimpleERP not a good fit for yet?
Businesses that depend on batch, lot or expiry tracking (pharma, food), on e-invoice or e-way bill generation inside the software, or on POS hardware such as receipt printers and cash drawers. Each industry page lists its honest limits.
