Getting started
Is SimpleERP free to start?
Yes, for 7 days. Sign up with your name, phone number and a password; no card is needed, and every module is included. After the trial, Premium is ₹1,500 per user per month, activated over a call when you contact us with the number of users. See pricing.
What do I need to sign up?
Your name, a +91 mobile number and a password. Email is optional and no card is needed. After sign-up, one screen asks for the business name and GSTIN, and the GSTIN fills in your state. Accounts, GST rates, units, roles and invoice numbering are set up for you.
How long does setup take?
Setup is built to reach a working dashboard in under three minutes. Your first GST invoice can go out within ten: add a customer and a product, then bill. Bringing in your full product list, opening stock and opening balances takes longer, and most businesses do it over their first week.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. SimpleERP is a web app and every screen works on a 360 px phone, with nothing to install. Attendance, leave, expense claims, approvals and recording payments are designed to be done from a phone, and on a desktop the same login gives you keyboard-first billing.

GST & India
Does it handle GST correctly?
SimpleERP picks CGST and SGST or IGST from the place of supply, validates GSTINs and reads the state from them, carries HSN or SAC codes on every line, and gives you the HSN summary and sales and purchase registers for GSTR-1 and GSTR-2B checks. It does not file returns.
Does SimpleERP file GST returns?
No. SimpleERP prepares what filing needs: sales and purchase registers for GSTR-1 and GSTR-2B checks, the HSN summary for the GSTR-1 HSN table and a GST summary by rate. All of them export to CSV. Filing on the GST portal stays with you or your accountant.
What about e-invoicing and e-way bills?
Not yet. SimpleERP does not generate e-invoice IRNs or e-way bills through the government APIs today. Your invoices carry the fields GST requires, including GSTINs, place of supply and HSN or SAC codes, and the registers export to CSV for whoever files your returns or generates IRNs.
Is it set up for the Indian financial year and number format?
Yes. The year runs April to March and document numbers carry it, for example INV-2026-27-0012, which keeps invoice numbers within the 16 characters GST allows until the year passes 9,999 invoices. Amounts show in rupees with lakh and crore grouping, such as ₹1,23,456. Phone numbers are +91, the clock is Indian time, and payslips carry PF, PT and TDS deductions.

Modules
Is it an ERP or accounting software?
Both. SimpleERP keeps a complete double-entry ledger with trial balance, P&L, balance sheet and GST registers, so it does what accounting software does. Sales, purchase, inventory, CRM, HR, payroll, manufacturing, expenses and assets run on the same records, which is what makes it an ERP.
Which modules are included?
Thirteen, all included: GST billing, payments and receivables, CRM, purchase, inventory, manufacturing, accounting, reports and dashboard, expenses, fixed assets, HR with attendance and leave, payroll, and team, roles and settings. They share one set of customers, suppliers and products and one ledger.
Can I import my products and customers?
Products, yes: a CSV import with a dry run that lists every error before anything is written, including opening stock per warehouse. Customers and suppliers are added on screen today, and an opening balances wizard brings in what they owe you and what you owe them.
Does it handle multiple branches and warehouses?
Yes, and it stays hidden until you need it. Each branch can have its own GSTIN, address and warehouse; documents share one number series per document type and record their branch, and stock moves between warehouses by transfer. The books stay as one set for the business. A one-location business never has to open these settings. See multi-branch business.

Team & roles
Do you charge per user?
Yes. After the 7-day trial, Premium is ₹1,500 per user per month, counted on active members: everyone who signs in with a role, including the owner. Pending invitations and suspended members are not charged. Invite your accountant, salespeople and store staff by phone or email; see pricing for the full picture.
Which roles can I give my team?
Seven system roles come ready: Owner, Admin, Accountant, Sales, Purchase & Inventory, HR Manager and Employee self-service. Need something different? Duplicate a role and adjust its view, manage and approve permissions. The sidebar only shows what a role can open, and every permission is checked on the server too.
Can my accountant use it?
Yes. Invite your accountant by phone or email with the Accountant role; they count as one user. They get journals, bank and cash registers with reconciliation, the trial balance, P&L, balance sheet, GST summary and the lock date, and can export any report or register to CSV for their own tools.
Can employees see their own payslips and leave?
Yes. Link an employee to a login and they get self-service on their phone: mark attendance, request leave and see balances, read payslips and submit expense claims with receipt photos. They see only their own records. Managers approve leave and claims from the same app.

Data & security
How is my business's data kept separate?
By the database itself. Every query runs as a restricted database role, and PostgreSQL row-level security only returns rows that belong to the business you are signed in to. A bug in a screen cannot show another business's data. Read more on the security page.
Can a posted invoice be changed or deleted?
No. Once posted, an invoice, bill, payment or journal is frozen by the database. To correct one, cancel it, which writes a reversal, and raise a new document. Nothing posted is ever deleted, and once you set a lock date nothing can be posted on or before it.
Is there an audit trail?
Yes. Database triggers record who changed what and when on documents and masters such as customers, products, roles and settings. Owners can read the audit log in Settings and filter it by person, table and date, and every document shows its own history.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Every report exports to CSV that opens in Excel or Google Sheets, including the sales and purchase registers, GST and HSN summaries and the payroll register, and so do the product list, stock and the account ledger. Settings exports members, roles, branches, tax rates, the chart of accounts and the audit log. Invoices and payslips print as A4 or PDF.
