A business of 5 to 50 people does everything a large company does: it sells, buys, holds stock, pays people and files GST. Yet the software choice has usually been a billing app, a desktop ledger and a few spreadsheets that never agree with each other.
Full ERP software exists, but it was designed for companies with an IT team and a consultant on call. Setting it up is a project, and most small businesses never finish it.
SimpleERP puts every part of the business on one ledger and keeps the surface simple. You bill on the first day. The rest is there when you need it.
Principles
Six promises behind every screen
These decide what we build, what we leave out and how each screen behaves.
Simple by default
You see invoices, customers and stock on day one. Branches, warehouses and the chart of accounts appear only when you look for them, and setup fills in accounts, GST rates, units, roles and numbering.
Correct by construction
The database refuses an unbalanced journal, a change to a posted invoice and any posting before your lock date. The rules hold even if a screen has a bug.
One system, one ledger
One invoice updates receivables, stock, cost of goods, GST and the customer's balance together. No module keeps its own copy of a customer or a product.
Works on a phone
Every screen works on a 360 px phone. Attendance, leave, expense claims, approvals and recording payments are designed to be done from one.
Your phone is your login
Sign up with your name, phone and a password; email is optional. Invite your team by phone or email, as many people as you need.
Honest software
Messages say exactly what happened, such as "Invoice INV-2026-27-0012 posted." Consequences are stated before you confirm, and every document keeps its full history.
How we build
The rules live in the database, not in a checklist
Small teams cannot double-check every entry, so the product does it for them.
- PostgreSQL enforces the books. Balanced journals, frozen posted documents, derived balances, average-cost stock, the lock date and tenant isolation are constraints and triggers, proven by an automated smoke test.
- Every screen is tested on a phone. Each one is checked at phone width and on desktop, in light and dark themes, before it ships.
- Every document prints clean. Invoices, vouchers, payslips and reports print on white A4 whatever theme you use.
- Limits are written down. Each feature page says what is not included yet, such as e-invoicing and GST return filing.
